The holiday shopping season is once again upon us. For many people, this means it's time to fight the throngs of hurried shoppers and endure a 90-minute wait in line to purchase a pricey, last-minute knick-knack for Great Aunt Alice. While most of us have the best intentions, it's hard to get enthusiastic about the holiday if we're stressed out about the cost of gifts.

When this happens, we end up losing sight of why we're celebrating the holiday in the first place.
