When is the best time in my cycle to conceive? -- Sarah, San Francisco"
Sarah -- The best time to attempt to conceive is just right before or at ovulation (when an egg is released from an ovary). Ovulation occurs 14 days prior to the onset of menses. If you have regular periods, you can determine the probable day of ovulation, but this is more difficult when your periods are irregular."
