Cohen-Posey's years of experience as a teacher, counselor and parent have been a labor of love and she endeavors to share what she has learned with her clients, colleagues and the public through the written word and emerging technologies.

Kate Cohen-Posey is a licensed mental health counselor and licensed marriage and family therapist practicing in the state of Florida since 1973. She taught school from 1968 to 1973 before earning her Masters of Science degree from Northern Illinois University in Community Mental health. She understands the joys and struggles of parenting through raising her own daughter.

She is the author of the How To Handle Bullies, Teasers and Other Meanies, which has been cited as one of the most practical books for giving children hands-on ways to defuse kiddie cruelties and turn insults inside-out. She is also the author of numerous pamphlets.

Cohen-Posey has been a presenter at numerous state and national conferences for therapists, appeared on the @Health Television Network and various radio shows, and contributed to articles for Working Mother Magazine, Moms on Call, Parents Magazine, Redbook and Lady's Home Journal.
