Lori Hiller is a certified social worker who has been working with children, adolescents and their families throughout New York City since 1990. She earned a Bachelor's of Science in Human Development and Family Studies at Cornell University and a Master's of Social Work at New York University. She is also completing her work at the Gestalt Center for Psychotherapy and Training. Lori is currently in private practice and frequently consults at local preschools and daycare centers. She has created a series of workshops on the Building Blocks for "Good-Enough" Parenting, covering such topics as creative play with children, limit-setting strategies and discipline for the toddler and young child, finding supports and resources, dealing with separation anxiety (your own and your child's) and "parent-child fit." Lori lives in Brooklyn Heights, N.Y., with her husband, Michael, and two children. Her experiences as a mother have deepened her understanding and provided her with further insights into the dynamic struggles of parenting. | |
