Boyle is considered one of the nation's leading authorities on higher order multiple births and RSV awareness and is quoted frequently in international newspapers, magazines and books. Over the past decade she has had the opportunity to represent the needs of the families she represents at FDA hearings, ACOG (American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists) presentations and was a part of the writing and introduction of the Safe Motherhood Act to Congress in 1996. During this same period she has also represented multiple birth families and families of babies born premature on a variety of news programs including several segments of the weekend edition of the Today Show (NBC), the weekday program of the Today Show (NBC), NBC Nightly News with Tom Brokaw and consulted on a three-part series for Turning Point(ABC) as well as Prime Time Live (ABC) and 20/20 (ABC). She was a consultant for a series of programs for the Learning Channel on SUPERTWINS.

Boyle has won several awards for her work on behalf of multiple birth families including the 1999 March of Dimes Women of Distinction award and the Distinguished Service Award – National Women's History Month from the town of Islip. Most recently Boyle and the work she does was the focus of a three-page article in PEOPLE magazine (October 2001).

Maureen Doolan Boyle is a graduate of Marist College and presently resides on Long Island with her husband and five children, of which three are triplets.
