Maurice J. Elias, Ph.D., is a professor of psychology at Rutgers University. He writes the "Parenting Matters" column for the Central New Jersey Home News. Elias has been featured in various national publications such as Parents, the The New York Times and Psychology Today. He is also the author of more than six dozen professional articles. He is married and has two children.

Steven E. Tobias, Psy.D., is the president of Psychological Enterprises, Inc. and director of the Center for Child and Family Development, Morristown, N.J. He has conducted workshops at national conferences and various schools and hospitals throughout New Jersey and has contributed articles to the Newark Star-Ledger. He is married and has two children.

Brian S. Friedlander, Ph.D, is a school psychologist in Chester, N.J. with a private practice in Long Valley, N.J. Friedlander is the co-director of the Computer Campus – a center dedicated to helping children gain access to computer tools to support and facilitate their learning at home and in school. Friedlander regularly presents at many state, local and national psychology conferences, as well as PTA-sponsored events at local public schools. He is married and has one daughter.
