John Dorsey, M.D.
Pediatrician![]() "I have always enjoyed pediatrics and it has been a great experience working with kids for the past five decades. I haven't seen it all, but have seen quite a bit in my years of practice. I'm happy to be a part of the [iParenting Media] medical advisory team and look forward to your questions."
Following service in the United States Navy during WWII, Dr. Dorsey, a native Iowan, earned his M.D. from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan and has remained in the area to this day. Following an internship at Detroit Receiving Hospital and residency at Henry Ford Hospital, Dr. Dorsey has been in private practice since 1957 and on staff at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI since 1959. Dr. Dorsey has worked with research grants on behavioral pediatrics, written scientific papers, served on several boards and committees at local and state-wide levels. He has also been active in the Detroit media community, serving as a medical consultant for television and radio stations, magazines and newspapers. This is his first venture as a Web site advisor.
