Lisa A. Miller is a certified nurse midwife and an attorney. With over 25 years of experience in obstetrics, including serving as assistant professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Northwestern University Medical School, Ms. Miller is committed to improving outcomes for mothers and babies through education. She is currently president of Perinatal Risk Management and Education Services in Chicago, where she focuses on multidisciplinary fetal monitoring education and a human factors approach to patient safety. Lisa's 2003 article "Safety promotion and error reduction in perinatal care: lessons from industry" was chosen as one of the decade's best by the Journal of Perinatal and Neonatal Nursing.
