Feedback on iParenting.com's New Look
Hello everyone!
Just wanted to say I LOVE the way the Web site looks now! Good job!!! I think it looks more professional and I like how you have pictures of everyone up now so you can see who everyone is!
Thanks for having such a great site!
Jennifer Sullivan
Hi,
I just thought I'd let you know that I think the site looks great and that I find it much better organized and easier to navigate -- terrific job everyone!
Sincerely,
K.F.
Hey,
I like this way you have it set up...it loads faster plus the background looks better...the way you have it put up there.

Greetings,
I like the new design of the webpages, but I was wondering if the "Baby Name Ballot Box" was still around. I enjoyed seeing what other people were considering for their babies, but I can't
seem to find it now.

Elisa,
I love the new look of iParenting. You're right -- it does make navigation much easier! However, it makes using and reading the boards very difficult. I have a 17" monitor on one computer and
because the text is centered, at least 3" on each side are wasted space. All the posts are scrunched up and it's difficult to see what is a new post or one that is responding to a previous
post. On my 19" monitor, I lose about 4-5" on each side of the screen. Would you consider a scaled down version of the menus for the discussion boards? Also, if you have scrolled down the
lists of posts, clicked on one to read it, and then click back or "return to index" you are sent to the top of the list again. Before, you would be placed back at the area you were just
looking at.
I really love your site and the boards are a wonderful source of information and support for me. Thanks for all your hard work!

Webmother's Note: We hope you like the changes we made to our boards in response to the queries we received. They are now full size, as before. :-)
Hi!
Just wanted to say a great big "Thanks" for changing the discussion boards back to their original format. I am very pleased with the quick response that I received, even if it wasn't my
e-mail that prompted it!

Dear Elisa,
1,000 Hoorays for the new look! Not that the previous was bad, but always nice to be refreshed, which is exactly what your site offers -- REFRESHING insight to the needs of parents and
children. Again, thank YOU! :0)

Hi,
Well, it looks nice but I really prefer the old setup -- I really liked all the features on one page (new birth stories, polls and results, questions, teasers about what articles etc. were on
the site and the related sites, etc.). There just seems to be much less information on the new site than I found on the old one. I was disappointed to see the change when I logged on tonight.
Sorry -- I know someone when to a lot of trouble to redesign it!

How to Write a Diary on iParenting
Hi iParenting!
First of all, I LOVE your sites! I am a dedicated poster on a few boards and love reading all of the information you provide. Thank you for offering such a great service!
I am wondering how I can get set up to keep a preconception diary, and later, and pregnancy diary. I love the idea of keeping track of everything and sharing my experiences with others.
Thank you!
Shelli
Webmother's Note: All you have to do to be considered for a diary writer position is email us an introductory statement about yourself and your situation, along with a photo of yourself. We look forward to hearing from you all soon!
Kudos on Diabetes Article
I must commend Ms. Dee on a very well written article concerning diabetes and its effects on children. I happen to be Mrs. Hagarty's best friend from Maryland who practically went through the whole ordeal of Melissa's diagnosis with her via long distance telephone and who tried to give her as much encouragement as I possibly could (I had a father with diabetes and several family members who are affected as well) and I know it was extremely rough on her and her whole family.
Thank you again for publishing such an important story and I hope one day SOMEONE can find the cure for this dreadful disease.
Sincerely,
Carrie Diener
New Board Idea
Aloha and glad to have found your site. I have perused your boards and notice that they are all support boards. Well, support boards have certain "protocols of support" required of them, and the "mommy wars" will erupt from time to time over issues like SAHM vs WOHM, Breast/bottle, Spanking, etc. I havent seen an outlet where these issues can be freely discussed without offending the integrity of the support board.
Please create a Debate Board where one can be free to dig into the issue at hand without worrying about being supportive enough. Some of us need the space to be honest. :-)
Aloha,
Luahiwa
Webmother's Note: You can find the board here. You can also join our debate e-mail list here.
Thanks for Preconception.com
Hi,
Just wanted to thank you for this site. I haven't checked it all out, yet, but I will. I'm sure it"s very helpful and encouraging to alot of women. I, too, am going through fertlity problems.
We are on our second round of IVF. Hope that we will win this one, that the Lord will bless this time.
Thanks again and God Bless,
Debbie
