Responses to Sad Birth Stories Query

Including those stories may help other women going through the same thing cope. Don't you always show the subject right after the name anyway? Perhaps articles on how to cope with fear would be more helpful, although if I remember correctly you have those also.

I love to read the birth stories, even the ones that some find unpleasant. I feel that these stories only help me to become more informed about choices in childbirth. I also feel that these mothers need a caring supportive outlet to validate their feelings. My heart goes out to them. Please keep all your wonderful birth stories coming.

I agree with Michelle on this. You may move such stories to another group and name the group accordingly.

Hearing Impairment Information

This is about your article on One Life To Live's Kassie De Paiva (Blair) as Mom of the Month. Regarding her 2 1/2-year-old son, J.Q., being hearing-impaired and her advocacy for children with hearing loss and the need for early detection. I would like you to pass on the name of an important organization -- The House Ear Institute, 2100 W. Third St., Los Angeles, CA 90057 (213) 483-4431. Their research and development has added studies on how the inner ear develops and functions in infants and young children. Professional services, including diagnostics, fitting of hearing aids and cochlear implants and rehabilitation, are provided in the areas of audiology, speech-language pathology, psychology, otology and neurology for children with all types and levels of hearing disorders. They have now developed hearing test for infants and very young children.

Loved Leeza Interview

Hi,

I really enjoyed your article about Leeza Gibbons. I can see why you chose her as Mom of the Month, and I'm glad. As a working mom, I know how hard it is to balance work and family. I appreciate Leeza commenting that we just can't have it all at the same time. It's the hardest thing in my life.

Thanks,

Mary
