Great Web Site Letter Followup

What a difference a day makes! Much less a few months. I have saved all the e-mail I have received about our new son Myles. I was just reviewing some of them and found a letter I wrote to you a while back. I thought I'd pass along some WONDERFUL news about our son. His name is Myles Harrison Howard. He is the ABSOLUTE joy of our lives. He does have VSD which may require surgery soon, and he is subsequently being fed mostly through an NG tube. But I am SOOOOO glad he is here. Thank you again for your kind and encouraging words during troubled times.

Enjoys E-newsletter

I've found the E-newsletter to be a great source of parenting information both professionally and personally, as I have a 17-month-old that I'm still breastfeeding and another baby on the way.

Enjoys Pregnancy Daily

Hi,

I just wanted to make a comment about your daily pregnancy calendar. I have enjoyed reading it daily. I think it is a wonderful tool and past-time for women.

A Note From a Happy Mom

Hello,

My name is Melissa Halper. I have a 2-year-old little boy and a 4-year-old little girl. Having two children at these particular ages has been quite interesting. My daughter was such an easy child until she hit 4 and now things have gotten a little harder with here. My son is your typical 2-year-old. I had always heard stories about the terrible 2s but I never believed them until him. Even though they can be quite difficult at times I don't know what life would be without them. My husband and children are the best things that ever happened to me!

New Board Request

Hello,

I have known about and used your Web site for more than two years. When we were expecting our first child, we signed up for a due date list via your site (babies due in July 1998). We are a closely knit Internet family, many of us having met in real life on several ocassions. I am very grateful that you've offered this sort of space for us to meet.

I just reviewed your current list of e-mail communities and am wondering about your receptiveness to creating a new e-mail community: one for women trying to conceive after loss(es). I see that you have a pregnancy after loss list, which is wonderful, but women experiencing pregnancy after a loss have different needs and concerns than women trying to concieve after loss. Also women's needs are very different when trying to conceive after losses than are the needs of women trying to conceive without a loss history.

I have suffered three pregnancy losses, all first trimester, and am TTC once again with a diagnosis of a blood clotting disorder. I find that I greatly benefit from talking with other women about the issues and emotions that TTC after loss raises.

Thank you,
Denise Jess

Webmother's Note: Great suggestion! You can sign up for the new e-mail list here.

Feedback on Birth Story

I also started contractions soon after my amniocentesis and continue with them now at 29 weeks. I'm on limited activity and take terbutaline approximately twice a day. It was good to read "Carol's story" and see some one go to full term. With all of the contractions I have ( one to three per hour) I'm hoping my labor will be a breeze!?!! It's a very scary day-day way to spend a pregnancy.

Thanks for her story,
Karen in California

A Note From a Contest Winner

Rachel,

Thanks so much for your site! I have been relying almost 100% on iParenting for help and support with some issues and parenting advice. I got to meet some of your great staff at the Illinois Baby/Child fair at Arlington Park Racetrack in April. Thanks again, I would be lost without the wonderful friends I have made on the August 1999 board and the Moms talk board on the Babies Today site.

I never expected to win, I just love the contests you guys do, I will cherish the t-shirt and other stuff. It will come in very handy.

Thanks again. God Bless!
Jennifer
