en to j-mo. it is a horrible sexist and offensive site. OMG. saraj touts freedom and then posts a link to a site that has some of the most against women t-shirts i have ever seen. the guy who apparently runs the site is nothing but a very obviously YOUNG, drug using and pushing, womanizing sexist pig. of course he is for abortion! he couldnt take a responsibility on if it meant his life!!!

saraj:
are you a coward? afraid of answering questions? you seem so proud and able to spout off about other people but you didnt answer the question or the point i made concerning your children. how about addressing that one?
not everyone here is PL nor is everyone here PC. making wide blanket statments like yours is rather silly.
I am questioning how much you put your children first when you are willing to risk traumatizing them with YOUR politcal beleifs.
abortion rights are not a FREEDOM. where are you getting that from. abortion rights are a private medical deicision between a woman and a Dr. they are neither my business nor YOURS. and this freedom you keep spouting about means that someone else's children have died for the freedom of the terminating pregnant woman. so concider that as you tenderly hold your children and slip pro-choice t-shirts on them when they are probably too young to have a clue. BLEH

Hi ladies...
Hey I have a question. I was cleaning in our bedroom and noticed some specks in the carpet... lifted it up (area rug over hardwood) and there was black mold growing under it.... had to tear apart my king sized bed and move it out so that I could lift out this huge wool area rug because I didn't want it in there anymore, more mold under my side of the bed. That might explain why I have had a sore throat and post nasal drip for the last 6 weeks or so....
Anyhow, do any of you all have any experience with getting rid of black mold? I don't know that it is THE black toxic mold, but it is some nasty looking stuff. I mopped really well with very strong vinegar water until I couldn't see any more of it, but probably just got rid of it at the surface.
Cherokee - glad you got her!

Wow, I'm really saddened to see how many anti-choice opinions we have here. Why would any woman want to have her rights stripped? Don't allow yourselves to be pulled into the taintings of society. I'm thrilled that there are so many others out there like me who will never allow our rights to be taken away. We're a tough and very large group of womyn! :-)
Robert Plant is very handsome. I'm a beautiful womyn...and anyway, that info is all old news. I'm not ashamed of who I am and I regret very very little in life. I'm happy that you have searched for me! (But, um, maybe you have a little too much time on your hands?) My advice? Get on that stair stepper, and play with your kids lady!
I'll try to post some informational Pro-Choice websites here for all of you since we are , once agian, on the topic of abortion....(because "someone" didn't like my little "vote Pro-Choice message")
Jen, you've pegged 'em girlfriend...litte kids indeed...however, I wouldn't even give some of these gals THAT much credit.
Maybe my continual posting will teach them to accept EVERYONE eventually. Then again maybe not. Keep your fingers crossed. I'm not giving up! ;-)

I'd be happy to send you a T-shirt Traci! Let me know.

Cherokee- What a wench(I want to use other words...lol..) I can't believe she had the nerve to do that, especially since she had an account with them! I am glad they fixed everything and I hope they put her a** in jail! She should also get the stupid woman of the year award...UGH!
That is so awful that four boys had to die. Why do they do stupid things like that? Is it really that important to fit in and be cool? Those poor mothers, I can't imagine. Makes me sick. They just never get it through their heads that they will eventually hurt their families by doing that!
Hey to everyone else...tooooo many names for me to remember all of them right now..lol! I hope you are all having a good weekend.
Saraj- Why don't you put your two abortions on those shirts too! I am sure your kids would really wear them with pride that way. SICKO!

Hey everyone..I am not mentioning anyone specific becuase I don't want to leave any of my gals out..so Hey EVERYONE! :0)
Well here's what happened yesterday. Actually it happened on the 15th.
First of all, it was not a guy, impersonating my DH, as they had thought, by the time I had gotten down to the bank they discovered it was a heavy set African-American woman impersonating me..LOL..now there is a resemblance :0)...Her name is VERNITA RINGO (and I am gunnin' for you lady!)turns out she in the drive thru lane next to me trying to make a cash withdrawl in her own account. I was in the middle lane to the right of her. DH had my debit card, so I wrote a check at my credit union for $75 for cash. I sent it thru the tube..this lady (I remember her because she was acting snippy and "baby girl this, baby girl that" to the teller, all mad because she didn't have the funds. She was in a really beat up white ford taurus. Anyway..the STUPID teller sent my receipt and cash to her car my mistake. Realizing it, but after this VERNITA RINGO had already SEEN my receipt, but didn't have a chance to grab the cash. Credit union account numbers are only six digits long, rather like phone numbers, very easy to memorize. So...she drove off, around the block and back to the front of the bank, and went inside and said...I am SO and SO..(my name) here is my account number. She had seen my balance, and knew she withdraw $500.00. They asked her for i.d. she said "Baby and would you put $100 into my savings?" (MY savings) Good distraction..common tactic with criminals who are ripping people off..after all a criminal "WOULDN'T be giving money back right?" So they GAVE her the money, deposited $100 into my savings. And she waltzed outta there. So I discover it the next day. They flag my account..guess who comes back thru the drive about 10:00 am yesterday? After the flag on my account? You guessed it VERNITA RINGO (who btw is a COMPLETE idiot because she has an account there! They know her!! She is on video ALL OVER THE PLACE!! DUMB DUMB DUMB! And..then she tries to get the $100 out of my savings account!! She is told, umm, sorry it is unavailable. She started yelling, saying that she KNOWS it is there, she just made a deposit into HER ACCOUNT yesterday! They say...please come in and talk to the bank manager (as they are dialing 911 for the police..because the numbskulls finally GET IT now..)and of course she takes off. The bank manager refunded all of our money, in addition to a very nice savings bond for each one of our five children :0) we had to close our account, reopen a new one...cancel our authomatic deposits/payments etc..sign affidavit upon affidavit so they can prosecute her. The bank manager gave us a copy of the reprimand letter he put in each of the employees involved's files...and the customer sevice rep who is so flippin' RUDE...Our police department verified she has MULTIPLE check cashing fraud charges, ALL of which she has never done time for. Now she may. But..sadly, stealing $500 is not a FELONY! It is a misdemeanor, and since she produced no fake ID (which is felony fraud)..also a misdemeanor. So last I heard, the police were going to her home. The bank manager said that the only checks she cashes are AFDC (welfare)and personal checks ("from family") she is a living on the dole SCUMBAG!! I'm gonna get her you wait! {{sigh}}anyway it took the whole day...then DH and I took the family out to an early dinner to decompress :0) and then a "nap" ;0) before I had to get ready for work. Work was "fun"..four guys in a gang fight shot each other up..then all died. :( you know I never feel too bad with these gangster wannabes..until I see/speak/hold their wailing grieving mothers. It's....wretched and I pray someday it will all stop. For everyone of them that dies....there is a mother remembering how she held him in her arms as a baby, I try to remember that.
Well hoping that tonight is...calmer but it is Saturday LOl..so probably more nutjobs! Sorry this was kinda "negative" today..:0)I feel better now..

Yes... I am back. This must be some sort of record, or someting. I can't remember the last time I posted this many times in one day ;o). Well, dh is working today, and dd is seemingly wanting to play by herself. Right now she is feeding dinner to her little sticky easter bunny - you know one of those clingly ones that you throw on glass and it sticks? She loves it, and it is just a little thing ;o) kids are so funny that way.
I was thinking about the topic... I know we have all sorta discussed it already, but there is a point I have been thinking about. How often are governmental officials instructed NOT to fly? It would be interesting to me to see the warnings that have been issued and see how many of them warned officials not to fly... that would put this warning more into perspective for me.
Just a though.
Uh - oh - she broke the rabbit making it do some very extended splits - his leg split off :o( and she is convinced I can fix him. Better run.

saraj?
how old are your children? are they even old enough to understand what pro-choice even means without being traumatized by it? freedom to choose means that someone else's life ends beforeit has even begun. children should be protected from some things till they are old enough to understand. if i had found out when i was little that my birth mother could have just aborted me instead i might very well have had nightmares for years over it. something to concider? your childrens emotional needs and etc should come before your political agenda.

Hey Dallas thanks for the thought on the St Jude's medal. I used to be catholic but I am not anymore. Its a long story that I would rather not share on the boards. I can email it to you if you want. Are you the one that finds out about community block parties two weeks after the event because the entire neighborhood makes sure not to invite you? Are you the one peeking out your curtains, and over fences, on nice weekends when all the neighbors are BBQ'ing together, and wondering to yourself why you are not ever invited? I would bet you are.....Also, you really should be ENCOURAGING women on this forum to have MORE babies...When they are all grown up, our children's tax dollars will be supporting your white-trash offspring...don't bite the hands that feed you my dear.

Saraj,
I am not an extremely religious person, but it's my personal belief that human life is sacred, and that life begins at conception.
On the other hand, I do believe that abortion should remain legal, because let's face it, there are certain cases that do warrant an abortion (rape, incest, to save the life of the mother, etc..) but also, if abortion were to be made illegal, you can bet your ass that female mortality rates will jump, from women going to back-alley clinics for an abortion, and then dying of a massive infection, or from trying to remedy the situations theirselves by using whatever's available (coat hanger, knitting needle, etc.)
So, I personally would never have an abortion, but who am I to tell another woman what to do with her body?
I hope that clarifies things with you, that I'm not some anti-choice religious freak, but that I'm someone who believes that the good of the many sometimes outweighs the good of the few.

Morning All!
I think my little boy is turning into a pit bull, lol...He's almost eight months old (whew!) and he's getting his "teefies" as DH calls them. I was feeding him his morning cereal and fruit (we're trying GUAVA now, lol..) and the little brat kept biting the spoon....and wasn't letting go!
I was like, "William! Give me the spoon, you brat!"
He just grinned around the spoon. Too funny. The other day, he tried to eat the dog's tail. This kid is a natural born clown, I tell you, lol..
Jade is spending the weekend with my mother, so I can have some alone time with DH and William. (Poor little kid kind of gets kicked to the curb sometimes, Jade's so high-maintenance and hyper) ..And a mutual friend of ours is in town for the weekend, so we're probably going to drop William off at my mother's for a few hours, and go out for a while. I figure we'll probably go see Kill Bill Vol.2, because we're all big Quentin Tarantino fans.
This morning is so gorgeous! I went outside to enjoy my morning coffee, and I noticed that my azaleas and dogwood have bloomed, so my yard is all red, pink, and white! I bet my gardenias bloomed too...you can smell them from my front door, and the bushes themselves are waaaaay up by our mailbox. (we have a disgustingly long driveway) I couldn't help but gush. My driveway is so beautiful in springtime, lol...
So, how is everyone's weekend so far? I hope it's as beautiful and gorgeous as mine is so far!
Wendy, I don't know if you're Catholic or not, but when my Uncle John had cancer (renal cell carcinoma) he went and got a St. Jude's medal and had it blessed by the priest. He wore it every single day, until one day he went for a checkup. They found that there was NO cancer left in his body at all. Why don't you try that? The power of faith is unbelievable. I mean, hell, my uncle was almost in end stage when they found the cancer, and now he's spry as can be. Just a thought. You're in my prayers, love.
And to everyone else, much love and blessings!

Wisconsin Planned Parenthood Campaign Targets Pro-Life Conscience Clause
by Maria Gallagher
LifeNews.com Staff Writer
April 16, 2004
Madison, WI (LifeNews.com) -- Planned Parenthood has announced plans to target Wisconsin lawmakers who voted in favor of a bill that would ensure that hospitals and health care professionals do not have to engage in objectionable activities such as abortion and euthanasia.
The nation's biggest abortion operation is launching a "public information campaign" aimed at legislators who supported legislation known as the Conscience Clause bill, or Assembly Bill 67.
Chris Taylor, legislative director of Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin, said, "This bill turns our system of health care on its head by allowing a patient's health care needs to be ignored. Wisconsin citizens should be outraged that their tax dollars are supporting
legislators who pass such harmful legislation."
But supporters of the bill say such claims are false.
"Planned Parenthood is engaging in a campaign of outright lies regarding this commonsense and much needed legislation," said Susan Armacost, legislative director of Wisconsin Right to Life.
"In order to garner opposition to AB 67, pro-abortion forces and others falsely claim that the legislation 'would restrict access to health care.’
"The fact that Planned Parenthood considers abortion, assisted suicide and euthanasia to be 'health care' is, in and of itself, outrageous. They don't seem to understand that most people think it's wrong to fire a member of the medical community or to slap them with a lawsuit because they don't want to participate in the deliberate killing of vulnerable people," Armacost added.
The bill, which has been approved by both the Assembly and the State Senate, would protect the conscience rights of health care professionals and facilities so that they do not have to take part in activities which destroy human life.
Those activities would include abortion, assisted suicide, euthanasia, embryonic stem cell research, as well as research involving human tissue from aborted babies.
"Everyone recognizes that these particular activities are carried out for the express purpose of destroying human life," Armacost said.
"Within the medical profession, there are some individuals and facilities who want no part of these activities. But there are also some organizations, like Planned Parenthood, who want to force physicians, nurses, medical students, research assistants and others to participate in these activities against their will. Assembly Bill 67 would protect the conscience rights of medical professionals and facilities only in the specific areas defined in the legislation."
Governor Jim Doyle has announced his intent to veto the legislation, but Wisconsin Right to Life has requested a meeting with the Governor in order to answer his questions about the bill.
"Even though Governor Doyle has stated he plans to veto AB 67, it is important that he know the facts prior to taking any action on the bill," said Armacost. "Thus far, only the Planned Parenthoods of the world have had his ear on this issue. And now, we are asking for the opportunity to provide the Governor with accurate and truthful information regarding AB 67."
Doyle's press office did not respond to LifeNews.com's request for comment on the Governor's position on the legislation.
Armacost notes that AB 67 does not ban any anti-life activities. It simply ensures that doctors and others are not forced to participate in such activities against their will.

Okay, ladies... let's do it. That's the only way to get them out of here once and for all. Let's just ignore those that are here because they obviously are seeking attention through the little damas the desire to start.
Even if they say hurtful things about us, let's just let it roll, ok? You all know you have my support but I am not replying to their bs... I am tired of them and if we all ignore them then they will look to get their cheap thrills elsewhere.

If you are not chicken sh**, then may we take guesses at what you are? ;oP Bull sh**, cow patty?
By the way, if someone posted as "Not Sally", I would try to find out what the alternative was, there, as well. If Sally sounds like Sally, and dresses like Sally, I would start thinking she was Sally despite her name, though.

Now that I know you too are here only to stir up trouble, I won't feel the need to reply to your messages either. Not Chicken you sound quite familar. So back to your own board and cause trouble there not here.

Well I am going to try to sleep I suppose. I will see you all in the morning
Cherokee hope everything is alright with you!

am i the only one who noticed saraj(is that the name?)put a winky face on her statement about glad some are done having children. maybe she didnt mean it the way it was taken? just a thought. and who else besides me said they were done having children?
saraj, maybe you might want to reconsider how you word things sometimes??that really did come across in a way that those who are hurting over not having anymore children might really really be offended and further hurt by your kinda thoughtless staement. even with the winky face. fortunately, i am completely ok with not having anymore children. three was more than enough for me. and how ill i was and the misscarriages and such. you might want to consider seeing a counselor to figure out your strange need to cause trouble and hurt feelings on a internet site? kinda weird of anyone really. then again, maybe you ahve no control over your life in the real world and this is the only way you know how to try to get some control?

Here's a debate topic:
When will all of you realize that you act no different than Saraj or Julie? You are all pawns in thier little game. You take the bait every time they dangle a hook. You keep telling them to go away but respond to them everytime they post. That makes no freaking sense!! You all just responded to me. You keep saying that they are the problem...no gals, you are the problem because you don't know how to ignore anyone. You gals are the ones perpetuating the problem, not them. You gals let your buttons get pushed every freaking time! If you want them to go away than stop responding to them for God's sakes and start debating the topic!

Not Chicken...
Well, why don't you favor us with a debate topic, my fellow poster? Then we can have a real debate. I think our debates here stay pretty real until we start getting tired of the topic, and then trouble always seems to rear it's ugly head. In any event, you are complaining about the immaturity of some of the posters here yet you do the exact same thing yourself... so aren't you just perpetuating the problem?
Saraj - I don't see any hands raised ;o). Seriously, the job of spokesmom on this board must be very frustrating. I can assure you that this is the only board that Wendy calls anyone names... and I think she has had some provocation... What do you expect from us when you appear to only come here to stir the pot? You post a message that you think will cause problems, then you scadoodle.... you don't even debate the topic with us - so why stick around? I know... I know... you won't converse here, so I am not expecting a reply, but I do KNOW that you obviously read the messages.

Saraj ~ What is your problem? Do you have absolutely no compassion for anyone whatsoever? What is your deal with kicking people when they are down? First it was Cherokee and now Wendy. You clearly don't have a soul.
traci ~ I know I've been an asshole but please don't compare me to Saraj. I don't harrass people in the middle of thier tragedies.

Hey everyone....
Cherokee- How scary. Did you guys find out who cashed that check and get it all straightened out?
Saraj- I USED to think you and Julie were different peopele but the way you come back to start trouble when no one is paying attention to you makes me think different! I thought you were leaving a couple months ago??
Wendy- LOL, I wouldn't be worried about it either! Some people just never go away, kind of like a fly, even though you keep hitting it, it will keep coming back till you step on it.

Hey Saraj why don't you email me and tell me to my fave GIRLFRIEND. You are just pissed that I am not sticking up for or defending your actions anymore. You were told to leave. Iparenting knows that you LOVE to cause trouble hun so leave us be. You have address the spokesmom thing before. You want it? Well they wouldn't give it to you anyway. Email me and I will email iparenting right away about the "need" that you feel on this changing hands. I really don't care sweetie. Like I said before hun, you stepped on the wrong persons toes. And you are just pissed that I am stepping on yours back. And no I am not in the same huddle with Angela and Cherokee. I can decide whether or not I like someone on my own thank you very much. I am an adult and can make my own judgements about you sweetie.

Saraj wendy volunteered for this "job". There were no qualifications for this. She was also the Babies today spokesmom for a long time about a year ago. They obviously trust her, too bad her job is hard on her with psychos like you. Why don't you leave her alone? She has enough to deal with with her health and all that is going on with her. Go away. no one likes you here dear.

Hey all. I just came on for a few ps
Cherokee I really hope that you get things sorted out. We had that happen to us when we first moved here. Except they took 2500. We eventually got it back, thank God. So I am thinking of you let us know how it all turns out.
Julie I don't dislike you. And I thank you for your thoughts and comments to me. I appreciate it.
Angela I love the name Dayton, so whatever. Now I am getting with my DD2 some nice comments about her name. LOL oh well. I think I would have put that woman in her place too! :)
Fatima your son is joining the Marines? Do you know where he is going for training? My brother is in the Marines. Semper Fi!!!!!!!! YEah baby!
Tina ok I will tell you my stories! LOL With DD1 I was induced and could not get an epi since the hosp I was at did not give them. My entire labour was 5 hours total. It was horrible!!! NO joke. But I have heard that inducing is alot harder than going into labour by yourself. With my second I had to be induced also (medical reasons) and I had an epi and my labour was only 3 hours and wonderful. I am definately going with an epi next time. I had no pain at all and went from a 6 to a 10 in 15 min. It was awesome! LOL DH and I watched the first episode of the Simple Life while I was in labour and DH read a book! LOL it was great! And I only pushed 2x and she was out!!! It is so up to you. I was a 5 before they gave me an epi but I was a 4 when I went in for my induction. Good luck deciding!!! What are you having?
SaraJ wow you are just so dumb. But that is nothing new. That is great technology to be able to give yourself a at home insemination! Whatever! Nice try on trying to stir up trouble here. Didnt work Chica! Buh bye!
Hello to Melissa, Barb, Ellie, Lyne and anyone else I missed. My brain is a little foggy! I am fighting a cold! Yuck so I will try to be back on here later.

ANGELA, what a moron that woman was. even if she thought it, she should have shut her trap and kept it to herself. i know lots of friends and family of mine have kids and i would NEVER pick the names they've chosen for MY child, but it's THEIR BUSINESS! also, i think that even the strangest name grows on you when you know and love the little baby. for example, my cousin's daughters are amelia and enid. NOT my fave names, but if you could see little amelia and baby enid you would see how perfect their names are!
for the record, i LOVE the name Dayton Faith. i think it is beautiful and unique which is more than i can say for my own name! lol!
CHEROKEE, i hope you kick that crook's ass! luckily he didn't get more money, but wow, how infuriating for you guys!
TINA, i didn't have an epidural with my baby. i swore i wouldn't have one and i didn't need one because my labor contractions were all in my stomach, none in my back. I also did not have any drugs throughout labor NOT BY CHOICE. my labor was too quick for drugs, and quick does NOT always mean easy! it means one minute you're sitting there playing cards with your hubby, the next you are in full fledged labor, baby crowning, PUSH!
the following is a link to my labor story that i submitted to iparenting and they posted it! don't worry there are NO PICTURES, lol! read it if you want...

Friday, April 16, 2004 at 16:41:00 (EDT)
Here is one from the SOME PEOPLE CAN BE SO RUDE book....In this day and age, almost all of us know little girls that have names that are traditionally "boy" names....Logan, Dallas, Ryan, Dakota, etc...WELL, as a lot of you know our baby girl's name is Dayton. I had a lady today at lunch (she works with Jake) say to me and Jake, really loudly "Dayton? For a girl? Who thought of that? When did Dayton become a suitable name for a girl?, yada, yada..." Jake told her "It became a suitable name for a girl when WE put it on our daughter's birth certificate!" Sheesh!! I think the other people at our table were embarrassed for her...and if you all saw little baby red, you would see that Dayton Faith just "fits" her, and WE THINK HER NAME IS BEAUTIFUL, SO THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!O.K...I have vented, and feel better.

Barb-have fun visiting Seattle. We lived up there and if you get a chance take a ferry to Whidbey Island. It is a nice journey and cute area!
Evanston is very nice...also very expensive since the university is right here! But with all the restaurants, I think I have gained 10 lbs just from the past 10 months! Ouch...and to think bathing suit season is just around the corner!
Angela-thanks for clarifiying that one! I can now sleep well at night! :)

Tina, congrats! Is this your first? My only baby’s first birthday is tomorrow!
I needed a c-section, so I had the epidural. I wasn’t a big fan. There’s nothing like a needle in your spine sending electric jolts through your body until they get it right. I don’t mean to scare you, and many people who’ve delivered vaginally have told me that the epidural is nothing compared to labor pains, but it’s good to know that it’s possible to have that reaction. My whole body literally shook for a second, a few different times. The anesthesiologist was just like, “Oh, what feels like electric shocks? That happens sometimes.” Thanks for the warning, ass!
But just remember that whatever you decide is the right choice for you. You know what’s best for you. Oh yes, and like Angela said… that first cry: indescribable.
Have a good week, everyone. I’m off for a vacation to Seattle starting Sunday, and I’ll be gone all week. I desperately need a vacation, so I’m bouncing off the walls today, ready for the day to end.
Kerri – Evanston is a beautiful area. My sister went to Northwestern for grad school and I visited her a few times. I wish Raleigh had a transportation system as well put-together as the L (el?, however you spell it).

Tina~My son's birthday is May 25th!! As far as epidural/no epidural...each woman's labor is different, and it is really a decision only YOU can make. I LOVE watching shows like A Baby Story, where the husband is telling the laboring wife....WE DECIDED on no medication....excuse me? WE? It is really ALL ABOUT YOU during labor, and if you reach a point where you just cannot take it...get the epidural! I don't think labor should have to be SUCH an agonizing event, that you cannot enjoy the beauty and miracle that is taking place, you know? Of course, natural is the ideal, and if you can get through labor with breathing and relaxation, that is great to. My suggestion would be to keep your options open, then once you are in labor, just take it one hour at a time. In the end, you will STILL be just as great a mom as the next woman...regardless of whether you use pain relief, or don't! It WILL BE the MOST incredible moment of your life when you hear that first cry...it is beyond description.=)

Kerri - My husband is from Evanston. I drive through there almost everyday except when I am lazy and take the toll. I really like Evanston, it is so pretty. Isn't this a beautiful day finally? I went out for lunch and had to bargain with myself to come back in.
Cherokee- Yep, I'm PG due May 27th and I am so impatient. I want this baby now! Sorry to hear about your bank situation, a similar thing happened to me as well. It might be an uphill journey, but if you make a nuisance of yourself, they will eventually do their jobs.
I am sitting here thinking of something nice to do with DH this evening as I have been a real beeyatch to him this week. He is so bewildered by my behavior, he wants me to hurry up and have the baby so his sweet wife can come back. I really don't have many complaints about this pregnancy, I was sick for the first four months but then I settled down. The worse thing by far has been this evil heartburn ugh. I NEVER had heartburn before this. I am happy that I finally got my big ole belly, it took forever! My biggest concern now is whether I want to get an epidural or not, so please share your thoughts with me on the subject.
Peace!

Speaking of thieves....it's too bad the Enlightened One did not know about self insemination before....she could of got prego from somebody who could provide her with some serious "bling" for child support, instead of getting stuck with lazy, bankrupt Chris. Had she thought ahead, she would not have to dig old/used stuff out of her closets to bring into WalMart for in store credit when she needs to buy things. Isn't that fraud? I'm quite sure it is. I would bet WalMart, Target, KMart, etc. around the Evanston area would LOVE to know our Enlightened One does that...maybe I'll send them a picture...God knows there are enough of them on the internet.

There is just some stuff I will not tolerate and someone supposedly in "Customer Service" acting rude is one thing I DO NOT TOLERATE. I figure that if people call my office and act like an asshole and I have to smile and deal with it then it is only fair that other people do it when they are at work. If I call or go somewhere and am treated rudely by an employee I always tell them that they should probably ask for the rest of the day off because it is obvious that they are not in the mood to be at work. LOL

I got a call about 10 minutes ago from the bank manager. He wants us to come down and look at the video surveillance. A man presenting my DH's name and ID CAME INTO THE BRANCH to do this transaction. A dumb criminal at that. We need to see if we "know" him. UGGGH. They can't put any money back into our account until the a police report is filed, etc. This is scary!

Ellie~ I also have a lesbian couple I am friends with...they used the same sperm donor from their sperm bank both times..there two kids are biologically related, same parents...That was YEARS ago..maybe the enlightened one is as much a "forward thinker" as she thinks..a little behind the times I would say. LMAO
Well, I am off to meet DH at our credit union..we will be parking ourselves in the lobby. I cashed a check there yesterday for $75.00 in the drive thru. It took about 25 minutes. Ridiculous. Then, this am I was checking to make sure that my DH's check was deposited (we both have automatic deposit with our employers)and noticed a $500 w/drawl, and a $100 w/drawl, the $100 w/drawl being deposited into our savings account? That didn't make sense, because we have automatic deposit to savings also. So I called DH..("What have YOU been up to?" LOL)..well it seems that the bank doesn't know WHO or WHERE with that $600. Considering my mortgage payment is about to go throuh any day now..I'm understandably ticked off. I was more ticked at waiting on hold for 22 minutes w/customer service who said, we will get it worked out within THREE days...Ummmm..NO! You get it worked out today yeah? Then she says..you better talk to your husband, maybe HE spent it. I'd like to know where this chickadee gets her customer service skills? Cracker Jacks maybe? Ok..so I tell her, I just talked with him, he said he hasn't been to the bank..you have video cameras, you have the w/drawl slip, please just check to see who signed it and I hope to GOD you asked for ID???She said, not always...I said I'm glad this call is recorded. I also asked what time the transaction occurred. She said "I dunno"..I said, is it possible that my account was still open on the computer when the next car came through.." "uhhhh, could be but there is no way to find out"...I asked her what I am I supposed to do about money missing from my account, she said, "it's not like is $5,000 ma'am"..Good Lord..I could have throttled her! All this, and I was told I could not speak with the branch manager because he was "indisposed". I'm really made about this gals...so DH is taking vacation time this afternoon and we are going to go down there and wait until they give us an answer. It happened AT the bank we branch at WTF???!!!
ARRRGGGHHH!
Ok..I feel better now. :0)
Talk with ya later!

Good morning, ladies! Nice to see we were "blessed" with a post from the Enlightened One last night. I loved this line she used: "I have known this is to be a great option for many womyn trying to conceive without a boyfriend or husband. Sadly, it is not offered as an option to most, and no one really thinks about it~yet it makes SO much sense!"
What makes her think that this is NOT offered as an option to women -- and how does she know that no one thinks about it? Is she in the heads of every person in the world so that she "knows" that it's not being thought about? And if it's not being offered, why did lesbian friends of mine use self-insemination to successfully conceive their children 20 years ago? They got sperm from a cooperative sperm bank and they inseminated in the comfort of their home -- though they used a syringe, rather than the stereotypic turkey baster.
What a condescending, presumptuous blowhard she can be!

Lyne- I know how he feels, when my DS told me he didn't want to play soccer anymore I just about freak! He was the starting Mid-fielder and an awesome player.....But I couldn't force him to play, well that same year he fractured his collar bone riding an electric scooter and that really ended all...a year after the heartbreak LOL. He decide to play football for the school and I have no idea about the game and was scared to death, because he is very petite.... I took a very fast lesson, he was a wide receiver, because he had the speed, but I covered my eyes up when I saw players coming towards him....LOL it was an experience for me and by the time I almost understood the calls the season was over...LOL

Lyne- sorry to hear about DD..
I miss my soccer days for sure, seems like it's been forever......My youngest was at a tournament and decided to play goalie in between the games, well of course he went to stop the ball with no gloves on and ended up hurting his fingers (index & middle) this is the one game I had missed,,,, he played his game and the coach just taped his fingers together, by the time I got home that night his finger were as swollen as can be and black and blue all over, well took him the next day to the doc's and sure enough the index finger was fractured in three places, how it didn't break, who knows,,, they put him a cast from his two fingers to the elbow for 6 weeks,, out of playing for a whole season and of course since than has not played, lost total interest after that......I love the game!!! My boys played club soccer for 12 years, and went on to play in high school, but those days are also over....BOOH WHOOOO!!

Morning girls :) Hope everyone is having a great day so far. THe sun is out again!! YEAH! 2 days in a row. Im so stoked :) DD fractured her ankle at soccer practice last night. She didnt get kicked and didnt trip and fall, thats the part that bothered me the most. She just twisted her foot while running. Its fractured in the part where the bones come together when shes done growing, he told me the name, but I dont remember what it is now. Not a bad fracture. Shes in an aircast for a couple weeks and crutches. They also xrayed her knee, because it was hurting her. Its okay, just shooting pains from her ankle coming up her leg. But, they did find that she has a bone spur on her bone in her right leg. He said its rather large too. So, now we need to see an Orthopedic Surgeon. He said if she gets kicked her hit there, her leg will break for sure, he said its pretty big. So, that was a surprise finding, wasnt looking for it, it just showed up on the xray. So that was my night last night. I hope everyone has a great weekend if I dont get back here today.

Heya gals!
I'm joining late in the game today...slept in! I try to sleep if the kids sleep in on Friday, because I work tonight!
What can I say about my man Kwame??Very sad that he didn't win. As soon as Mr. Trump said..."Omarosa deceived you, not once, but twice"..I knew it was bad news for him. He should have gotten ridden of her. Trump wanted to see if he had it in him to cut someone loose who was hurting the team. My DH was laughing at me last night, I was almost yelling at the TV.."WAKE UP KWAME...SHE IS SABOTAGING YOU!!" Yikes..She was like a teenage groupie following Jessica around playing dress up. Did anyone notice how when they were interviewing her, she said "Kwame this, Kwame that.." but she never mentioned her snafus? Might be hard to get a job when you pull that on national TV...Nice how she stood in the supermodel pose next to Donald when they all came out after Bill won, she tried to shake Donald's hand and he just gave her his back..I LOL! OH! I am also glad that Bill won. I really like both of them..Bill is a hard worker and I liked his personaility..confident but didn't brag like slick Nick. I'm happy for him. They were both very likable guys. I think Bill graduated Cum Laude from somplace..I can't remember where...
Misty~I loved being PG...(obviously I did it 5 times, and am trying again!)I never felt like more a woman than at 7-8 months of pg, with my belly all round.. LOVED IT..I also had horrible heartburn LOL which I never get when I am NOT pg, only when I am..I don't complain though, it is ALL worth it! How are you feeling by the way..are you going to go for it again this month? We are/have LOL! AF was horrible after the last "time". Did I mention we are stopping in May? When I turn 38 was our 'cut off' point. So if I don't get pg this month or next, that's all she wrote. Praying it works this time!
Tina~I didn't realize that you were pg..CONGRATS..when are you due?
Shawanda~My husband and I love Joel Osteen. We watch him every week. It is our church time. !(I work Saturday and Sunday nites so I have to sleep)I love to hear him talk about his late father. I wish in my life I knew what it was like to love a parent that much..what a wonderful child they raised! We have tried several churches in our area. We haven't liked (DH hasn't anyway)any of them. Snobby area. We are trying to find a "community", not just a place to spend 2 hours on Sunday..with programs for the kids and something for us. My ex-husband and his wife attend a very nice church, which is where my boys go with him every Sunday. (they are 10/12) We actually used to go to this church..then they started going there. His wife is very involved there now, and since we only go sometimes due to my work schedule. It was difficult when I would volunteer for events, and when my kids would run up to me with "hey mom can we.." several of them actually said to me.."Oh..dear..I thought Beth was their mom"...and I would have to correct them, that I am their mother, Beth is their stepmother...so many issues. She does not allow the boys to call her Beth, she says it is disrespectful and they are to call her "mom". She actually asked if WE could find another church home..she is "uncomfortable" with it. (Sure she is..I am the one who knows that she and my husband cheated for six months while we were married..I know the whole story)..she is probably very uncomfortable with me attending the same church service. Well, I was over it a while ago..forgave them I mean..she needs to forgive herself. I can't imagine carrying THAT around my whole life. It's hard to find a church that works with my hours LOL!
Hey Angela~got your email this am..I'll be sending one back atcha...
Well I'm going to run...Maddi is asking me for waffles..she was very happy...she lost another tooth and did the cutest thing..she came into my room, all forlorn, "Mama, the toothfairy didn't leave me any quarters.." I though darn it! DH forgot! "And she didn't take my tooth!" I was thinking "I reminded him this morning on his way out darn it"..but then "But she left me a whole dollar!!" She was playing with me the whole time. She also asked, if she left the same tooth under her pillow, would the tooth fairy know the difference...and leave her another dollar? LOL....Sneaky girl!

Good morning to Fatima, Angela, Cherokee, Misty, Lyne,Dallas, J-Mo, and anyone else I missed.
First let me say THANK YOU to everyone who let me wallow in my little pity party yesterday. I am feeling much better today and I am sure that it is simply because I had such wonderful people listen to me whine, and sometimes I think that is all we really need (as women!) LOL!
Anyway, it is beautiful here - sunny and warm and I am so happy today is Friday. I hope that everyone has a wonderful Friday and an execptional weekend planned!

Misty & Angela
You gals have me laughing,,,, I had three deliveries and they a were all different....
20 years ago with son #1, I had a epedural and had some kind of bad reaction, because I had 4 seizures after that.
18 years ago with son #2, I did it all on my own,, no meds at all, in fact I felt him crowning.....13 year ago with son #3 I had an emergency c-section, not fun at all,, the recuperation is a royal pain in the butt!!
During pg time #1. sick like a dog until my 6th month...#2. just nauseas all the time...#3 nothing, I knew I was because I missed my period..... and that's about it..

Misty~I know what you mean! Also, I could NOT WAIT to show with each of them...if I was pregnant, I wanted to LOOK pregnant. I loved how I looked with my "tummies"...not to mention the GREAT hair and nails I had while pregnant.=0)

Misty~We have two girls, and one boy and we are done. We had one of each, and the doctor said due to Mason's traumatic delivery we would be unable to have more children.....Well, we have a red haired, blue eyed, adorable skoodlebug that proved otherwise! She's a true miracle, and we adore her, but we are not going to tempt fate with any more pregnancies. I have to say though, some of my sweetest memories were of being pregnant with my babies...I thoroughly enjoyed the experience each time.

Angela - Yes, my pregnancy drug on. I felt real well but I am not a patient person. I couldn't wait to find out the sex and then I couldn't wait for my daughter to get here. We induced the night before her due date for family reasons but also because I couldn't wait. I get really excited about things.
Now I am just crushed that my baby girl is walking and pushes me away when she is playing and doesn't want to hug.
Will you be having any more?

Hi Angela, I don't really like Amber. I hope she doesn't win because she really hasn't done much but bat her eyes at Rob.
Barb - we tried to keep Audrey's party small but it has gotten out of hand. I am doing a Winnie the Pooh theme. We have invited my mom & step-dad (I really consider him my dad but that is a whole other talk show) my dad and his wife and her two kids (not my step-mom, she has only been married to him 6 years) my husbands parents, my grandmother, my aunt (she lives with my grandmother) my cousin who is 16, 3 of DH's friends and thier wives and their 4 kids (total among the three people). I am also inviting at least one co-worker and her two little boys. So that is 17 adults and 9 kids. I'll be pulling my hair out. I'm not really worried about Audrey being overwelmed because she is in daycare all day and seems to do o.k. when we are at family gatherings.
I found a good website that has some good party game and prize ideas. We are going to cook burgers and hot dogs on the pit, beacuse my hubby is like every other man I know and loves to grill. It's on May 1, so I have 2 weeks to prepare.

Barb/Misty~And didn't the nine months we were pregant seem like FOREVER???!!!! Mason will be three in May, and Dayton will be one in June, and Jake & I are wondering what happened to the time? Sniff!Sniff! Congratulations to your big-girl one year olds!!=)
Misty~I have to admit cute little Amba is getting on my nerves though! I hope the fawning/adoring/clinging is an act, and she is not really like that. Ugh!
Did everybody watch the Apprentice? The Donald was on the Today show today, and even HE said Omarosa really hurt Kwame...then again, HE(Kwame) picked HER for his team. I'm sure Kwame will get some very nice job offers if he has a reference from Trump, though. I hope Omarosa gets blackballed professionally...what an unethical person! Ugh!

Misty – my daughter’s first birthday is tomorrow! We’re not having a big party – just the grandparents and three of our friends are coming over for pizza and cake. We had a few reasons to keep it small: my mom and both my in-laws are visiting right now and things are crazy in our house, so we didn’t want to overwhelm her; and Sunday my hubby and I are leaving for a trip, and she’s staying with my in-laws at our house, so we didn’t want TOO much going on at once. I’d love to hear what you have planned! Hasn’t the year flown by!?

Angela - I remember something like that too. I thought it was almost an epidemic with the professional athletes and entertainers.
I need to read the e article to get more info about the whole thing. My concept of self insemination was like a woman going to a sperm bank, I didn't think it was something people tried at home!

Kerri - Thanks. I live in Hyde Park, near the Museum of Science and Industry. I work in Northbrook, though so I cross the entier city everyday, but at least most of the trip is on my beloved Lake Shore Drive. Where are you?
I didn't watch much of the apprentice, but I did catch a few episodes. Wasn't Bill the one with the high school education? For him to beat out a Harvard MBA was just humbling. It's cool that he is going to work on the new hotel and retail center here in Chicago, though.

They talked about "self insemination" on Oprah one time. That is why men are always encouraged to dispose of their...ahem...birth control by flushing it down the commode. So, Saraj, it IS and HAS been available to ALL scandalous women for a very long time. THAT should pique the curiosity of somebody such as yourself I am sure.

Misty,
I am planning on being in Houston this month for vacation. Maybe you and I can get together. I don't recall if you had children or a child (please excuse me, if I'm in error) Maybe we can meet at a Borders Bookstore. I understand that they have a children's story time. I'm so not in touch with what is leisurely going on Houston. I miss my Channel 13 news :). Does Debra Duncan still have her talk show? I wasn't much of a Channel 11 watcher, except for watching Lakewood Church(Joel Osteen) on Sundays. I attend New Light Christian Center Church when I'm there, and I sometimes watch Ed Young.
Wait a minute. I'm assuming that you are a stay at home mom. Excuse me. You probably have more to do with your life besides "just" children, husband, and a social life, for instance A CAREER :). Sorry for assuming. Let me know. Here is my e-mail address.

Go BILL! Did you all see the Apprentice? WOW! The funny thing is I went to his universtiy also, so I was cheering for him based on the two facts...coming from Chicago and being a Loyola grad! :)
Tina-where in Chicago do you live? Congrats on the upcoming arrival too!

I just wanted to applaude Iparenting for their
self-insemination e-article this week. I have known this is to be a great option for many womyn trying to conceive without a boyfriend or husband. Sadly, it is not offered as an option to most, and no one really thinks about it~yet it makes SO much sense!
I am thrilled to see this information on your site!
Thank you a thousand times over!
