Hi Everyone,

It's been a while since I've posted. I hope that everyone is well, I have tried to read up on the posts that I have missed.

I am anxiously, impatiently awaiting the birth of this little boy. I am due on the 27th and it cannot get here soon enough. I am so over the swelling and discomfort, I just want him out so I can look into his little face and know that it was all worth it.

Things have been rough, I was in a car accident a few weeks aga and thankfully, the baby was not harmed. My mother is driving me insane and DH is acting like a first class ass. I am just so overwhelmed with everything, this baby is starting to feel like my salvation which I know is too much responsibility to put on a child. He is the only thing in my life that I feel I can count on right now.

Sorry to ramble, I just need to get this all out, and I am so sick of hearing that it will pass. Anyway, happy Mother's Day everyone.

Peace & Blessings!
Tina

Concerned..while I understand your concern, if this person has not made any threatening posts, why not give her a chance? If you "warn" all the other mothers then she will be treated unwelcome there...maybe it IS someone who has really lost her husband and is lonely for some company from other mothers...why not welcome her onto your board and treat her like you would any other newbie and WAIT untill she does something to make you concerned! JMHO! TC!

Concerned from PT~LOL!! The *Troublemaker Julie* that YOU are talking about is expecting her 4th child, and you all gave her a very warm welcome on the Pregnancy Board a couple of weeks ago...of course, she is not using *Julie* anymore. Really though, how much weirdness can she add? After *Jenny* talking about her "odor" being so strong that DP could not sleep, and then she wonders if it is a pregnancy or yeast infection (can we say STD?), AND Holly who cheated on DH, got pregnant, then found out through an amnio that the baby is NOT DH's, so he hit the road, THEN Mr. Wonderful Boyfriend hit the road too(he says out of "respect for the sanctity of marriage") LMAO...really, do you think Julie would trash the place up? Sheesh. Don't be so stuck up. So...the new Julie is probably legit, and not the one you are wondering about...SHE is already over there. =0)

Happy Mother's Day to all!

What a DUD of a Saturday--I've been working my caboose off for three days pricing everything in my house that didn't move for a garage sale today. Beautiful day, great weather, SORRY TURNOUT!

What a disappointment--$60 measley bucks! Sigh...

But, there is hope--a pregnant girl came by late and said she was interested in several things I had left, but she needed to convince her hunny to let her spend the $$. I said I'd hold the stuff for about a week, then it's goin' in the paper. I'm selling/giving away ALL my baby stuff--Boppy, swing, high chair, excersaucer, you name it.

Alas, it'll have to remain mine for a little longer. Oh well...I'm sure I can find room for it AGAIN!

Concerned - the Julie that was here (and maybe still is??) was indeed pregnant, but I have no idea how many kids she has. I didn't hear anything about her husband, either. She did admit that she posted under several screen names, just to stir us up, though. I hoep that you guys don't have trouble over there, and a big happy mothers day to you moms to be's =).

Oh... yeah, Johnny Depp is pretty hot in Pirates of the Carribean...
and I had completely forgotten about Orlando Bloom. Yum. Again, certain aspects of his looks remind me of dh.
I also think that Mathew Mchonehey (sp?) is pretty hot.
I am a sucker for dark good looks, especially with some sort of accent, though, so I am sticking with my original post as far as who I think is the hottest. Oh, and Enrique Eglesias is pretty hot, too.
Other than Penelope Cruz, I think that Selma hayak is very pretty, and ok, totally opposite but here I go - Sandra Bullock. I also think Julia Roberts is a knock out. I think I like the looks of those that are not classically attractive, but have some sort of special feature. Yes, Brad Pitt is the most gorgeous creature on the face of the planet (but I don't know if he is the hottest is my book) - he and Jennifer Anniston should have some cute kids.
I got up early, visited with our new boarder while she loaded her horse up (barrel racing today), then went out and messed with my own horses for a while, and then cleaned up in the barn and the barn yard. I am hoping that the weather will make up it's mind, because next I would like to pull some weeds.
Barb - the Mariners played a 16 inning game the other night. I don't know if you noticed Bret Boone when you were watching them play, but he is another hottie. So is Derek Jeter from the Yankees, and our homegrown deserter, Alex Rodriguez. I also though Mike Cameron was a cute (I still do) because he has an awesome personality - I was really sorry he traded away.

Ok, enough for me!

Hello everyone. I am a regular on the pregnancy board. Over on that board we were warned of all the trouble that was started on this board by a Julie. We just had a Julie start posting on our board, saying she is due with her second child and just recently lost her husband to a heart-attack. We have also had a few problems in the last couple weeks with lurker posts. I don't want to see our board's friendliness head south. I was wondering if this is the same Julie that started all the problems here? If it's not, that is great!!! If it is, I just want to be able to warn my fellow preggos and keep the board friendly and welcoming. If anyone can post if they know this is the same Julie. Thanks!!

LOL Ellie~That must be him! I just think that *bad boy* edge is hot! I watched "Timeline" last night, and he played an exMarine going back in time to rescue a professor in 1300's Castlegard, France. He played a jerk! And OOOOOH, so fine! His hair was brown in the movie though...I LOVE the premature *silver* color he had in Boomtown better.

angela -

You must mean Neal McDonough. My husband loved to watch his character because he was such a p***k. He's in the remake of Walking Tall -- playing the bad guy!

Ellie
Saturday, May 08, 2004 at 09:27:04 (EDT)

Andy Garcia~ooooohlala!! Especially when he has his hair cut nice and neat like in "When a Man Loves a Woman." Also, I have NO idea what his name even is, but he played the District Attorney in the show Boomtown last year. THOSE EYES...oh my goodness, talk about making a girl swoon!
angela
Saturday, May 08, 2004 at 08:39:43 (EDT)

Okay, I had a night to think about it. Some hot men:

Paul Newman. Yeah, I know he's old enough to be my grandfather... but those eyes! When he turned 70 in 1995, Newsweek had a super close-up of his face and those blue eyes were amazing.

Orlando Bloom. Johnny Depp was hot in Pirates of the Caribbean, but Orlando was hotter.

Randy Travis. Not his looks. His voice. I don't even like country music, but I like to hear that man's voice.

There's my contribution. Time to get busy. We've got soccer today and I have to see my mother and grandmother. It's a tradition for the day before Mother's Day. Then everyone can be at their own home on the actual day. Happy Mother's Day, ladies!

morning ladies.
OUCH, i am not used to hanging out actin' all wild and i am PAYING for my nite on the town today! AND i have to go to work in a few!!

but, i had to answer the question...BRAD PITT. he is like the most beautfiul creature on the planet!! like insanely gorgeous, not even real! whoa! and on that note, let me go to work!

talk to you all later!

Saturday, May 08, 2004 at 08:12:01 (EDT)

Hrm...Since we're on the topic of 'hot old men', I think I'll call a few to the floor now:

Sean Connery. The man played James Bond, and then years later a Russian Submarine Captain. And he STAYED gorgeous. I'd devour him in a heartbeat.

Harrison Ford. Need I say more?

And last, but not least..

My personal favorite..

Al Pacino. OoOoOoOoh...He was hot in the Godfather movies, he was rapeworthy in Scarface, and is STILL hot. I've told my husband that if Al Pacino ever showed up at our doorstep, he might as well file for a divorce, because my ass would be gone, lol...

Argg...can't sleep! ;-(

Saraj...yea, I'm still kickin myself for not getting his autograph! I am amazed at the way he moves for his age too..must be doing something right!

Keith Richards is pretty haggard looking from all the drugs! I thought I saw him in a Victoria's Secret commercial...or maybe that was Bob Dillan...they shoulda' used Steven instead! Now that would get me thinkin about buying some lingerie! *wink!*

Saturday, May 08, 2004 at 04:08:43 (EDT)

Hmmmm lets see what celeb do I think is hot? Lets see for the women I would have to go with Nicole Kidman. I think she is just beautiful and for the guys it would either be Orlando Bloom or Viggo Mortason. Both are sooooo hot!!!! Can't say that Steven Tyler does it for me though. But Bono sure does!!! I have loved him forever!!!! He is just so handsome and his music is awesome and he is also smart and goes after what he wants done in the world. Now that to me is really sexy! Any hoo I guess that about answers that!

Have a great day everyone!

Wendy
Saturday, May 08, 2004 at 04:01:01 (EDT)

LH~ I would have been that way, too...with Steven so close by. OMG...just to THINK about it! *drool*
I still can't believe he's 56. How can that old man move like he does?

He was surely more attractive as a youngin' I think. (Like Robert Plant) I find Steven attractive now, mostly because of his talents, his voice, and his sassiness. It's not as much about the looks when you get older, and drool. ;-)

I didn't see this, but someone verified to me that Steven was using teleprompters. Hubby just told me that I'd sound dorky saying this...and that very rarely do musicians NOT use them. Hey, you learn something new every day!

I love his daughter, Liv. She is so beautiful, and sweet and soft, and she even acts well. I like her mostly because she loves her dad so much. I wish Steven was my dad. (Do I?) Hmm.

Jane~ No, I didn't see that commercial. Do you think he has had some work done?

Bon Jovi...he has always seemed too much like the boy next door to me. I like different. Um, has anyone ever liked Keith Richards? *hand raise here* :-O And good old Mick Jagger, ofcourse...

The girlie girl has dance tomorrow. Whew, last one of the year. Hubby and I do the taping and DVD/VHS recording and editing for the recitals..so we have a lot on our shoulders tomorrow. Should get to bed and rest well.

__________

hal~ I'm not so sure some of us want to go there...the drunk nights we regret.

Anyone ever take that purity test running around the net lately?

Margarita
Friday, May 07, 2004 at 23:15:13 (EDT)

Ok, Ok... I haven't been able to think of any hot celebrities that aren't musicians or actors. LOL. I'll probably think of someone AFTER I post this. I am saying hot on looks alone... in real life personality gets me over looks every time. So, again, soley on looks alone...

Penelope Cruz
and this actor from the movie Elizabeth - can't think of his name - he plays her lover. I think Lord Suffolk is the character. He looks a bit like my dh, and I think that is why - same nose shape and eye shape and full lips =). But, the actor who plays Luca on ER is pretty hot in my book too... Goran Visjinc or whatever his last name is. I also think Tom Hanks is hot, but I think that is a personality thing ;o).

Margarita
Friday, May 07, 2004 at 22:59:00 (EDT)

LOL, Margarita...you got Bon Jovi sweat all over you? WooHooo!! LOL! :-)

I think he is hot too as well as Ritchie Sambora (sp?) who sings with him and is married to Heather Locklear!

Sorry, can't say I see anything much in Bono although I love his music! Remember that guy who was the lead singer for the 80s band "Inxs" (he took his life) now that guy was HOTT!

Well, got to get back to unpacking the groceries! Hubby is like a kid in a candy store and soo happy we ave "new" food! LOL! TC!
LH
Friday, May 07, 2004 at 22:28:28 (EDT)

Speaking of lead singers...I would have to say Jon Bon Jovi...I have loved him since the 7th grade!
kerri
Friday, May 07, 2004 at 21:15:06 (EDT)

Margarita -

You're not alone. I don't find Steven Tyler particularly appealing, either. I'll have to think about the hot celebrity thing, too.

As for Shawanda, isn't she in Houston? I thought she posted last week and said she was flying from Germany to Houston for a visit with family and wouldn't be around for a while. I could be mistaken, though.

Ellie
Friday, May 07, 2004 at 21:14:36 (EDT)

Well, I guess I am a minority here, because I do not get the whole Steven Tyler is hot thing ;o).

But, hey Angela... I agree about Bono - I do think he is a hottie.

Hmmmm, this could start a new topic - maybe we've done it before? I don't remember - but who do you think the hottest celebrity is - male or female? I am talking about ANY celebrity personality, not just artists. I'll have to think on it for a while.

LH - I understand about the whole silly excitement when you get that close to a celebrity... when I was like a freshman in high school, I went to a Bon JOvi concert, and the guy that drove us there had me up on his shoulders right in front. I don't know if it was real or not, but Jon Bon Jovi was in front of me swinging that mane of his around, and I swear I got sweat sprayed on me - ok gross, huh? But I was so excited! LMO

Shawanda - hope everything is going ok for you - haven't heard from you in a while.

Guess I will check in later. My nephew (age 8) is staying over tonight and my dd will probably be ignoring me most of the night in preference for his company ;o).

Wow. I'm so happy this forum's taken a turn for the better. It's really nice when all of us can put aside our differences, and engage in friendly conversation. :)

Saraj- You DOG! You saw AEROSMITH??? I am so incredibly jealous. I wanted to go see them at Philips Arena when they were playing here in Atlanta, but the ticket prices were ridiculous! *sigh* I would ravage Steven Tyler, given the opportunity. Rrrrow!

Jane- Hon, you didn't offend me about the dog vs. cat thing, I was really in quite a jokey mood...sometimes when I write, I come off as easily offended (and sometimes offensive) and I don't mean to. :)

William managed to give himself a black eye the other day. We were letting him crawl around on the living room floor, and all of a sudden, he managed to smack himself in the eye on the foot of the coffee table. It looked awful. Bless his little heart, he looks abused, lol...I've been calling him my "Little Black-eyed Pea". It still looks pretty ugly, a big purple blue streak under his eye, but the swelling's gone, and I expect the whole thing will have faded by next Wednesday at the latest.

*sigh*

I've also got a lot of family drama going on that I'm not happy about, but I guess I'll survive, lol...My family is a family of gossipers and back-stabbers, so you'd think I'd learn not to be offended by them by now.

Whew. I hear my little black-eyed pea calling me. I think he needs his early evening nap.

Love to all, and hope you're all doing well!

Oh well, I am glad to see that you "took" your mom to the concert...even though you have to file bankruptcy, evade officers in clothing stores for stealing, take food from church food banks, yet declare there is "No God", an of course murder two of your children as infants prior to taking your luxury vacations...funny...if I didn't know better, I would think you are dealing...

Jane -

The helicopter crashed on the Thanksgiving episode last fall during sweeps. The promo for the ER finale actually shows a bunch of images from this season and then invites the viewer to tune in to see how the final episode will top them all.

Ellie
Friday, May 07, 2004 at 14:29:24 (EDT)

Saraj ~ Have you seen the commercial for the digital camera where Steven Tyler walks through a restaurant and all these women are trying to get their cameras out to take a picture? Steven looks really good!

Friends was okay. I'm sad to see it go because watching Monica and Chandler taking care of twin babies would be hilarious.

As for the ER episode, that show should have had warning at the beginning of that episode. If you are pregnant do not watch! Ever notice nothing ever turns out good for the characters? Something good starts happening and bam! Tragedy! I saw the commercial for the season finale. It looked like there was a helicopter crashing. Hello!? You did that last year.

Saraj...hubby and I went to an Aerosmith concert about 8-years ago at the Charleston (WVa)Civic Center and before the concert we went over to the adjacent mall to have a bite to eat and Steven, Joe and the drummer guy were up in food court just hanging out! I freaked!!! They had also been to Wilsons leather store and bought a bunch of leather stuff which I thought was kewl! I got pretty close to Steven and made eye contact and I about fainted...hubby was like "go get an autograph" and all I could do was 'swoon like a schoolgirl"!! LOLOL!! I never got an autograph, but will never forget that night! I agree...Steven is soooo very HOTT!! :-)

Good Morning all-
Margarita-that was GREAT. Thank you so much for sharing. I will be forwarding on a copy to all I know!

FRIENDS: WOW! Did that end differently than I expected! But wow, it was fantastic! I am so happy I taped it! They are already selling a copy of it on DVD!

ER: I think I cried non stop with that stillborn more than any other episode! How awful for a woman to experience that and still have to go through labor. I pray we all never experience that!

Survivor: Dont watch...sorry!

Hiya J-Momama!~Nah~*Amba's* eye-fluttering, and fawning looks for Rob's eyes only are irritating.=0) Plus, Rupert had a point last night...Rob & Amber lay around all day, then when it comes time for challenges they have all SORTS of energy, so they win cars, immunity, etc...I say, stop taking care of them then!! They should have gotten rid of Rob last week when they had the chance.

Survivor - IMO I think they just aren't showing us what Rob does. Otherwise they would have gotten rid of him long ago. They didn't get rid of Amber last night because then they would be left with the wrath of Rob and if Amber is sitting there with anyone in the final two I don't think the jury will vote for her because she rode Rob's coat tails the whole way.

Friends - Great episode. It went out way better than Seinfeld did.

ER - getting better.

Man I cried a lot last night between 8p & 10p CST.

J-mo,

I disagree about Boston Rob. I didn't like his comment when he voted Tom off last night about "Pony ride is over. I carried you this far." All that Rob and "Amba" do is lay around camp and rest. Rupert, Tom and Jenna keep them fed, with water and with fire. And then Rob acts like he's the one who is taking care of everyone. I think they missed the boat when they didn't vote him last week.

Hey Everyone just popping in to say hey! I've been chatting with most of you all week via email but some of you I don't have emails for so...HI!

Hmmm to answer the posted question: I went to my senior prom. I did, however, have to find a babysitter for my 10 month old daughter LOL. But..I did the dress, the date, {very cute, he was my friends older brother} the dinner, the portrait...the whole nine yards...a beautiful memory for me! LMAO..I just realized I said "I did the date"...I didn't "do" the date...but he was a cutie and he did kiss me goodnite. Very nice guy.

Angela..I wonder what happened to "Julie"... wasn't her baby due this coming month? I wonder if Indiana knows what a nut is on the loose. Seems like alot of "other" people that visit this board have the same "story line" if you know what I mean. Hmmm. Interesting.

Well my dryer is finally fixed so I am in the midst of 10 loads of laundry...Sure am glad we got a warranty with our dryer, we only bought it 13 months ago....so we didn't have to pay for it to be fixed (2nd time the heating element went out in the last month) I can't believe I am back at work tomorrow...and next week I have all new shifts, one week it's like Sun/Mon/Tues..another week it's Tues/Wed/Thur..kinda like that. Sucks. Now that my 90 days are up, I have to take call also. Anyhoo...hope everyone has a GREAT evening. I am, umm, going to be watching Friends..dangit. I just can't help myself LOL!

TC Everyone!

I agree~IParenting...new question Puleeeeeez! This prom question did not have a lot of mileage going for it in the first place.

Hey, isn't late Thursday into Friday the day goofy Julie usually shows up acting manic and stupid? I guess if IParenting does not change the question, we always have Julie's histrionics to look forward too, don't we.....should be fun.

Noooooooooooo! Not George Huff! I wonder if the birth on Friends will be realistic. I hope it's not as disappointing as the Seinfield finale was. That ending was sooo dumb. My preggo self is not enjoying the 83* weather. I never knew ones ankles could get so big. :-(

Good mornings to all....I have to run.

Margarita, “My Most Beautiful” is the one that goes, “I found a way to make you… I found a way… A way to make you smile….” It’s pretty. I like R.E.M. a lot, too. When I was little my sister used to play “Shiny Happy People” and she got me hooked. These days I listen to a lot of bands that aren’t super popular – Sonic Youth, Le Tigre, Superchunk, Crooked Fingers… they’re all bands I’ve liked since high school (or evolved from bands I liked in high school).

Barb,
Oh that is so sweet.
I am going to have to look through my REM albums now to see what song that is - I can never remember the names of songs, only the tunes.
REM and U2 are two of my all time favorites, well, not counting the Beatles and.... I have a whole slew of "old" music that I love, like Van MOrrison, some older James Taylor, Otis Redding, etc. ANyhow, I haven't really been keeping up with REM lately, but I keep up with U2 pretty well.
LOL add to that that I have Christian rock, some Alternative ROck (Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Creed), classical, some blues, some Country, some folk - type, some classic rock, some R&B... well, you can see my CD case is pretty eclectic.
Ok, back to work for an hour before I have to get ready for school. It's only 7:30 here, I've only been up for about an hour and am just getting started on work.

Hang in there, Melissa. Anytime you need to vent, go for it!

J-mo mama, your “Could it BE a better show” comment killed me. I sometimes watch the re-runs, but I haven’t seen the Thursday night show in years and years. Chandler and Monica are my two faves. Monica is so manic and Chandler is so funny. I heard this morning that they’re having a baby (on the show tonight)… it was news to me! I suppose I’ll eventually catch it in the re-runs!

Good morning to j-mo mama, Fatima, Barb, Jane, Cherokee, Angela, Ellie, Lyne, Margarita.....I hope I didn't miss anyone! LOL

Well, sad news on my end...no baby for me this time around
:(

I guess it is not time in God's eyes. I am disappointed but I guess that won't help me through this. I really was hoping that I would find out that I was in fact pg before Mother's Day, how neat would that have been? Oh well, I am sure it will happen when He is ready for it to happen. Anyway, I am sorry to be such a downer this morning but unfortunately I think it will take me a few days to get back to feeling good again, it always does. I gotta tell ya 8 failed cycles has really gotten to me!

Poor, cute George Huff was voted off. He was my fave of the five that were left. Now I’m hoping LaToya will win. She’s got the best voice, but she doesn’t show much personality. I really despise Diana Degarmo, so as long as she doesn’t win I guess I don’t really care. But I can’t complain… I’ve never voted!

Oh wow. Did I start the whole "What is your song?" topic? Cool. I had an OB appointment yesterday. He said, "Ninth month already? Time really flies. You'll be delivering soon." Why do they always give you false hope like that? "Soon" could be whole month away. Did anyone see who got voted off American Idol last night? I missed it. The Friends finale is tonight! Nothing will keep me from watching that. Not even labor! lol

Margarita, my hubby and I have an R.E.M. song, too. It’s “My Most Beautiful” from their “Up” album. He sent it to me when I was studying abroad in college (that’s when the album came out) because he said it reminded him of me, and I fell in love with it, too. It was our wedding song.

Hi everyone.
Oh boy I need to pull a few hairs out right now. I am still working on the same darn clients, they have some particular needs that are hard to meet. I am waiting on a call right now that may solve the thing for me, though.
I had a math test today - we have one every week. I think I did really well on the one I took today - I am excited to find out - but it will probably be about a week before he gets them back to us. I have a music quiz tomorrow - lol we are studying the different scales right now. Learning music at my age is learning about 6 different dialects of a foreign language. My spring quarter is halfway over, and then I will have 5 days off before my summer semester at WSU starts. Thank goodness I will get almost a month off during August.

Hmmmm. There are alot of different songs I associate with my dh, and with the two of us. I guess our song would be the one we played at our wedding for our first dance, by Shania Twain - I think it is called Look How Far We've Come - or something like that. There is a Clint Black / Lisa Hartman Black song that came out right before our wedding that I just love, but it wasn't released in time to play it at our wedding - When I Said I Do. Corny, but sweet.
There is an REM song that makes me think of my dh, because I used to sing it all the time at work when he and I first met, and he used to tease me about it - it's been a long time since that album came out and I am terrible with song names anyhow, but I think it is Shiny Happy People.

Well, dd is terrorizing the cat and I must talk to her.

Wednesday, May 05, 2004 at 14:28:55 (EDT)

Well Barb, today is your lucky day...I just happen to have that Aerosmith CD in my case at work! =)

Workin' like a dog fo de boss man'
Workin' for de company
I'm bettin' on the dice I'm tossin'
I'm gonna have a fantasy
But where am I gonna look?
They tell me that love is blind
I really need a girl like an open book
To read between the lines

Love in an elevator
Livin' it up when I'm goin' down'
Love in an elevator
Lovin' it up 'til I hit the ground

Jacki's in the elevator
Lingerie second floor
She said "Can I see you later
And love you just a little more?"
I kinda hope we get stuck
Nobody gets out alive
She said "I'll show ya how to fax in the
mailroom honey and have you home by
five"

CHORUS.....la, la, la, la,

Gonna be a penthouse pauper
Gonna be a millionaire
I'm gonna be a real fast talker
And have me a love affair
Gotta get my timin' right
It's a test that I gotta pass
I'll chase you all the way to the stairway
honey
Kiss your sassafras

CHORUS
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
O.k. I think this is a song about a guy who works in a big building, and he has a crush on this girl(who doesn't even know he exists), and he fantasizes about doing *it* in the building's elevator. I think he his like a lowly worker bee (works in the mailroom) and she is a hottie that he thinks is out of his league?
Cute story. :-)
I've heard that Steven wrote it after his own experience of love in an elevator. He said it was with a complete stranger....and he was married (no surprise there)...
I think a lot of "his" songs are from personal experiences.
Saraj
Wednesday, May 05, 2004 at 14:16:45 (EDT)
Saraj, maybe you can answer something for me that’s been a mystery for years. What is the song “Love in an Elevator” about?
To share a little story: on my 21st birthday I was out at a bar with tons of friends, including one that I adored (a guy). He adored me back, and we were making out a little bit in a corner. It was nothing obscene (that I remember… I mean it WAS my 21st!) and a drunk guy (a stranger) was like, “Holy love in an elevator!” and we all started laughing and that was the end of it.
So since then, whenever I’ve thought of that song or remember that night, I wonder what that meant. Is that song about getting it on in an elevator? I was kissing the guy, and nothing else, and we weren’t in an elevator, so that doesn’t match up… maybe he was just being funny. I know it sounds like a weird story, but it’s a very happy memory.
LOL Jane~I hear you with the heat thing! I had our baby girl last year on June 10th, so it had just started getting really warm at the end of May. I LOVE what the heat and humidity did to my ankles! They really swelled up that last month...you could not tell where my leg ended, and my foot began...Jake was calling me "Stumpy." =0)
J-Mo~Yeah for the rain! Clothes feel so much better when they are laundered in soft water, your hair too! Plus, an occassional rainy day is pretty cozy I think!
LH~To say the couple of people you asked to ignore you "never have anything nice to say anyways" is a misnomer. I, for example, have TONS of nice things to say...the fact that they are not all showered upon you does not mean I am never nice.
I can get them for free , but I 'd have to go with a friend when I'd rather go with my hubby (he's been so fun lately~getting home at 4am with me and etc! LOL!)....SO, here I sit listening to the radio inside... on a warm day...my kids bring me lilacs from the neighbors house...and I'm all coffeed out. Ugh. Maybe we'll just forget it and go for a bike ride. :-(
I WANT TO SEE STEVEN! xoxo
I got a ton of pictures fomr a guy who bought one of our puppies...I'll be adding the dog he bought fomr us to the site in a day or two. This dog is HUGE!
J-mo ~ Being an only child has caused some difficulties parenting 3 kids though. There are times when I have to ask my DH (who has 5 brothers and sisters) if what the kids are doing is "normal." I don't know if I'm relieved or frightened to find out that it is. lol
I suppose I shouldn't really talk about how much competing for attention the kids have to do. Things will be completely different once this baby girl gets here. I start my 9th month tomorrow! I don't want it to get hot. In fact, I demand that it stay in the lower 70's and below until I deliver. Tommorrow's supposed to be 85. That's torture for a pregnant woman!
Angela.. the one other thing that bothers me is that I took our tape out of our answering machine to get a new one, because I want to keep this one ( our kiddies are on it, and our son was only 18 mos on it saying his name, sooo cute :) anyway, so it wasnt plugged in, so I just saw the # on my caller ID. 92 there today??? HOly cow! I would DIE for that kind of weather right now. Its supposed to be 62 here today, right now its partly cloudy and in the 50's. We usually take our parents out to eat or something for Mothers day, its usually not for me, unfortunalty.
Hello ladies.
Just a quick post while I wait for Bear in the Big Blue House to rewind (so I can shower knowing that she is entertained instead of letting her find a way to entertain herself).
I have no idea what we are doing for Mother's Day. I will spend part of the day with my mom, probably have dd make her a card. Other than that, I don't know. We don't have a tradition for it.
Lyne - I hate it when they do things like that! Two fridays ago our family doctor called to let us know that the x - ray tech (or someone, not sure really) who was filing my dh's x rays from the ER trip (dog bite) the previous night, thought that he saw some abnormality in my dh's arm... on of the 3 possibilities was an agressive tumor. That is all he said, on a Friday afternoon, other than setting up an apt for Monday morning. I wanted to kick his hiney. Dh's blood work came back ok, and he had an MRI on Monday, we are waiting to hear back from our doctor. I hope that everything is ok, and I will be praying for you.
Gotta run - running late!
Lyne~Speaking of weather...it is supposed to be 92 degrees today! Woohoo!! I am so tired of being cold!...My kids are still so small, that Jake pretty much plans Mother's Day for me yet...he is just a guy FULL of surprises, so who knows what he has in store for me. I've been *hinting* that mama would love a Spa Treatement. I have never had one, but a friend of mine had one with the mani, pedi, facial, full body massage, the whole works, and she says it is HEAVEN!!! I've been wanting a spiral perm too, but I always feel like I should spend any extra money in my billfold on the kids. Jake always says the only way he can get me to buy myself things, is if I have a gift certificate specifically for ME. I've been wanting new contacts too though....I have blue eyes, but Dayton Faith has the most gorgeous color of blue, so I want contacts THAT color. I'll probably end up getting a new tackle box or fishing pole or something....LOL!
That's what I'm thinking Lyne. I just feel that if it was REALLY crucial information, they would have at least left a message for you to contact the hospital, you know? Actually, Maranda had bloodwork one time, and the hospital called but just told my mother(she was babysitting) to have us call them back. This was on a FRIDAY! I had to go ALL weekend, and you know how a mother's mind spins! Anyway, it turned out that they needed Maranda to come back and give more blood...her samples had been accidentally tainted, and they needed more. No big deal really, but due to patient confidentiality, they could not tell my mother ANYTHING. I was SO relieved, but po'd at the same time, ya know?
Thanks Angela :) They did all of her bloodwork in the Oncology unit, they came into our room even, we didnt go to the lab or anything. I can go there unfortunalty, she has been going to Childrens Hospital, which isnt right by my house. She was going to our local hospital, but not since she was switched a couple weeks ago. I know, Im sure my mind is wondering, her Onc doctor told me yesterday that he should have her WBC, Hemoglobin results by last night but no CT results until tonight, so he would call me sometime Thursday afternoon. So when I saw they called I naturally felt like I could vomit and am worried. Im going to stop at home on my lunch break and see if they called again. If they did, I will call them back. I havent gotten a call here at work tho. Maybe it was nothing?
LH... I dont think I ignored you, I always say *HI* to everyone, and I know I miss names sometimes. Nothing intentional. Who is ignoring you, if you dont mind me asking?
LH
you shouldn't feel ignored,,, I think that there are just times that the girls don't answer,,, I have written a lot too, and I don't get responses, I don't let it bother me.. It's just a way I feel I can let out steam, and if I get an answer then I continue the conversation..... NO biggie...
Lyne~I would definitely call the hospital and find out what they needed. You know, it could have been something as simple as they need information from your insurance card. Being a mother though, when it comes to our babies, our minds jump to the worst scenarios don't they? In my experience though, they always leave a message of some sort...they KNOW parents worry, so usually they will say SOMETHING. If they don't call you back...go there during lunch and SIT in the lab until you find out what is happening. Try not to let your mind get the best of you with worrying...I know! Easier said then done! Hang in there chick!=)
LH~LMAO! For goodness sake, what do you expect? In your own words "people don't forget." Oops sorry, I should not have addressed you at all...you TOLD me to ignore you. Sorry for the slip. Anyway~people have been addressing you, so drop the *I am being ignored, and I am the victim of hurt feelings routine*. That one got played out a while ago. Nobody is freezing you out...you are just perceiving things that way.
LH – I don’t think you’re being ignored. I, personally, am not too much into small talk… I prefer specific topics, which is why I’ve been quiet lately (plus I’m at work and I don’t always have time to even read all the posts; I’m usually around in spurts). But I think the mood on the board has been great lately, with you included. So hang in there and try not to take things personally.
Well, I can understand the kids fighting for attention. Right now, I DO feel that our son is really getting gipped in the attention department. He is playing T Ball, BUT.... he is being drug to his sisters ballgames almost on a daily basis, soccer games, scrimmages, cheerleading.... it never ends. My girls are involved in alot, and sometimes our son just wants to stay home and play... and we cant. It does happen sometimes,we try to not let it happen, but it certainly does.
LH... thank you for your thoughts for my DD, I appreciate it. Im also sorry you feel ignored.
Lyne~ I hope you get some answers from the hospital very soon. I think that it is odd that they would call and then not leave a message. Maybe call back and tell them you noticed that they called but no message was left and just tell them you want to know something! I hope that you are able to get some answers soon. I will be praying for your dd!
LH~ I am sorry to hear that you feel ignored. I hope that you have a wonderful day!
j-mo mama~ I am glad to hear that you have an extra room...although you may be sorry you told us that! LOL I sure wish dh and I could afford to come and visit!
Good morning to Angela, Cherokee, Wendy, Margarita and anyone else I missed!!! Yall have a great day!!
